Newsboys

The Newsboys were founded in 1985 in Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia, by Peter Furler and George Perdikis. The group later relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue their music career in the United States. Throughout their history, the band has undergone multiple lineup changes, featuring different frontmen across three distinct eras. The band has released seventeen studio albums and has achieved over thirty number-one singles on Christian charts. Their catalog includes well-known songs such as "Shine," "Take Me To Your Leader," "Breakfast," "He Reigns," "I Am Free," "Something Beautiful," "God's Not Dead (Like A Lion)," and "We Believe." Six of their albums have been certified Gold. The group has received various Dove Awards and Grammy nominations over the course of their career. They have also appeared in the *God's Not Dead* film series. The Newsboys have been cited by *CCM Magazine* as an influential Christian band.
