Beautiful Story

Newsboys open with a conditional confession — "I would've lost heart had I not believed" — close to Psalm 27:13's own structure, "I would have fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living." The chorus answers that near-collapse with an image of authorship: "You write a beautiful story... from glory to glory I believe."

"You work all things together for good, like You said You would" quotes Romans 8:28 almost directly. "I would've let go had You not reached out and silenced all my doubt with hope" keeps the song's testimony honest about how close it came to not holding — the beautiful story described isn't one free of near-failure, it includes the moments it almost didn't continue.
