Loyiso Bala

Loyiso Bala is a South African singer, songwriter, and producer known for his work in R&B, gospel, and classical crossover music. Born on September 22, 1979, in Kariega, South Africa, he received classical training at the Drakensberg Boys' Choir School. He is a member of the vocal trio the Bala Brothers, alongside his siblings Zwai and Phelo. Bala has released a number of gospel recordings, including the album *Love Complete* and the live project *Great Hymns of Our Faith, Vol. 3 (Live)*. His catalog also includes songs such as "How Great Thou Art" and "It Is Well," both featuring Don Moen, as well as live recordings of "The Cross Medley," "As the Deer," "Jesus Loves Me," and "Great is Thy Faithfulness." Beyond his music career, Bala has served as a channel director for TBN Africa, a Christian television network. He holds an MBA from Henley Business School Africa. In 2013, he was appointed as a UNAIDS National Goodwill Ambassador. He has performed for international dignitaries including Nelson Mandela and Oprah Winfrey. Over the course of his career, he has won multiple South African Music Awards, multiple Metro FM Awards, and a South African Film and Television Award for Best Musical Score.
