About Victory Boyd

Victory Elyse Boyd is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist. Born in Detroit and raised in a musical family, she began performing in the Boys & Girls Choir of Detroit, which was founded by her father, John Boyd. She gained early recognition as a busker in New York City and as a member of the sibling group Infinity's Song. Boyd is signed to Roc Nation and contributed songwriting to Kanye West's gospel project *Jesus Is King*, a work that earned her a Grammy award. Her musical style incorporates soul, jazz, folk, and gospel influences. Her early solo releases include the 2017 EP *It's a New Dawn* and the 2018 album *The Broken Instrument*. In 2023, she released the album *Glory Hour*, which is noted for its overt gospel expression and spiritual themes. Songs from her catalog include "I Don't Have To Pretend," "Rejoice," "Just Like In Heaven," and "Don't You Ever."
