Praise The Lord Hallelujah Amen

The song opens at the beginning of the Gospel of John, with the Word who was with God before creation and the light that broke into darkness. It then moves to the incarnation, describing the Son sent from above, wrapped in flesh and blood, with glory concealed in a servant's heart. The chorus lifts up Christ as King and prays for God's kingdom to come and His will to be done, closing with the simple, repeated acclamation "Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, Amen." The third verse turns to the cross and the empty tomb: the Saviour is beaten, bruised, and shamed, but He dies and rises again, reigning from glory to glory. From there the song looks forward to the return of Christ, when all creation waits to see Him face to face and join the anthem of heaven. The final verse echoes Philippians 2, declaring that every knee will bow and every tongue will sing when the King returns. The tag repeats the chorus's closing praise, framing the whole song as a declaration of who Jesus is and a call to worship Him.
