Silas Kirk's "He Saved Me" opens in a place of quiet ruin: poison in the blood, a prayer on the lips, and the same broken record playing over and over. The first verse captures the familiar cycle of promising to do better tomorrow, only for tomorrow to never arrive. The chorus then plunges into the depths — sinking, six feet under, drowning in doubt — before a single line breaks through: somebody calls the singer's name.
