About Matt Redman

Matt Redman is an English Christian worship leader, singer-songwriter, and author. He was born Matthew James Redman on February 14, 1974, in Watford, Hertfordshire, England. He was previously associated with the Soul Survivor ministry in the UK. Redman’s songwriting often emphasizes themes of reverence, theological depth, and gratitude. He has released over a dozen albums throughout his career and has authored several books on the subject of Christian worship. His catalog includes well-known songs such as “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord),” “Blessed Be Your Name,” “The Heart of Worship,” “Our God,” “You Never Let Go,” “Son of Suffering,” “Unbroken Praise,” and “Your Grace Finds Me.” In 2013, Redman was a two-time Grammy Award winner for “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord),” which won Best Contemporary Christian Music Song and Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance. He also won multiple GMA Dove Awards, including Songwriter of the Year in 2013. The single “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)” was certified Platinum by the RIAA, while the album “10,000 Reasons” and the single “You Never Let Go” have been certified Gold. He resides in California with his wife, Beth, and their five children.
