Yes And Amen

Song Meaning

"Yes And Amen" takes its central phrase straight from 2 Corinthians 1:20, where Paul writes that "all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen." The song repeats that line as its chorus foundation, "all Your promises are 'Yes and Amen,'" turning a statement about the reliability of God's word into something sung as settled fact rather than a request still waiting on an answer. The verses build toward that chorus through specific titles, "Father of kindness," "Giver of mercy," "Beautiful Savior," "Blessed Redeemer," each one naming a different facet of the same unchanging character.

The bridge, "I will rest in Your promises, my confidence is Your faithfulness," makes the practical application explicit: trust is not placed in circumstances but in God's track record. The line "You pulled me from the ashes" draws on the same imagery as Isaiah 61:3, where God gives "beauty for ashes" to those who mourn. The song's closing repetition of "my Father is faithful" functions less as decoration and more as the conclusion the whole lyric has been building toward from its opening line.

Father of kindness

You have poured out grace

You have brought me out of darkness

You have filled me with peace

Giver of mercy

You're my help in time of need

Lord, I can't help but sing

Faithful, You are

Faithful, forever You will be

Faithful, You are

All Your promises are "Yes and Amen"

Beautiful Savior

You have brought me here

You pulled me from the ashes

You have broken every curse

Blessed Redeemer

You have set this captive free

Lord, I can't help but sing

Faithful, You are

Faithful, forever You will be

Faithful, You are

All Your promises are "Yes and Amen"

Faithful, You are

Faithful, forever You will be

Faithful, You are

All Your promises are "Yes and Amen"

I will rest in Your promises

My confidence is Your faithfulness

I will rest in Your promises

My confidence is Your faithfulness

I will rest in Your promises

My confidence is Your faithfulness

I will rest in Your promises

My confidence is Your faithfulness

Faithful, You are

Faithful, forever You will be

Faithful, You are

All Your promises are "Yes and Amen"

Faithful, You are

Faithful, forever You will be

Faithful, You are

All Your promises are "Yes and Amen"

Thank You Lord

What a faithful God You are

We say "thank You"

Oh, I'm not losing hope

'Cause I know that my God is faithful

Do you know that Your God is faithful?

Oh, I'm not losing hope

I'm not giving up

'Cause my Father is faithful

Oh, my Father is faithful

We say "Yes and Amen"

Oh, my Father is faithful

Yes and Amen

Oh, my Father is faithful

Yes and Amen

We proclaim, my Father is faithful

Yes and Amen

Oh, my Father is faithful

Yes and Amen

Yes And Amen
