Sweet Praise

Bethel Music builds this one to feel spontaneous rather than composed, opening on a single claim before it ever develops into a full verse: "there is power in Your name, name that saved us all." Everything that follows just keeps circling back to that one sentence from different angles.

The repeated instruction — "come on, lift your voices, sing out in the Spirit" — treats worship as something that has to be actively started, not something that happens automatically. The song keeps calling people into it rather than assuming they're already there.

Paul's hymn about the name above every name gives the opening line its theological backbone, and the psalmist's resolve to bless the Lord at all times sits behind a song more interested in momentum than resolution — it doesn't build to one climactic line so much as it keeps finding new ways to say "higher" and "lift You up" without ever deciding it's said enough. "All my trust is in You, God" repeated as declaration rather than request is the closest thing the song has to a thesis.
