King Forevermore (God The Uncreated One)

Shane & Shane build this one on a scale that keeps widening across four verses — from creation itself in the opening line to a coronation scene by the end. "Wrote the laws of space and time, and fashioned worlds to His design" echoes Colossians 1:16's claim that "all things have been created through him, and for him" — the "uncreated One" of the title responsible for everything that has been made, time and space included.

"Mighty God in mortal flesh, forsaken by a traitor's kiss... buried by the sons of man, rescued by the Father's hand" compresses the entire gospel narrative into eight lines, landing on Acts 2:24's claim that God "raised him up, having freed him from the agony of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it." The hymn earns its final title change deliberately — "King forever" through the first three verses becomes "King of kings forever" only after the crucifixion-and-resurrection verse, the coronation language arriving after the cost is named, not before.
