Jesus Works

The song builds its case for faith from the ground up, starting with ordinary evidence: a family gathering, a stranger's smile, a presence felt in the darkest hour. Rather than claiming to understand everything, the singer keeps returning to a single anchor — "all I know is I believe" — and repeats it like a mantra until it settles. There's a refreshing honesty in the admission that God doesn't always move the mountains; instead, He moves people, prompting them to show love and help one another. The bridge turns that observation into a request: to see what God is doing and to move where He's moving, since every time He acts, Heaven touches Earth. The chorus stretches the claim across every season, city, and street, insisting that Jesus works not in theory but in the singer's own life. The repetition of the title functions as both testimony and encouragement, a simple phrase worn smooth by use. It's a song less interested in explaining God than in pointing at what He's done.
