Our God, He Is Alive

Acapeldridge opens by pointing past the visible sky: "There is, beyond the azure blue, a God concealed from human sight," the song insists before naming what that God has actually done—tinted the skies with heav'nly hue and framed the worlds with His great might. The chorus answers directly: this God is alive, and from dust He formed man, echoing the creation account where God breathes life into the ground itself.

The second verse turns from creation to revelation, recalling the God whose voice the prophets heard and who still speaks through His inspired word rather than staying silent behind the skies He made. The third verse pushes further, admitting life's mystery is secure only because God alone holds "the germ" within His hand—a frank acknowledgment that human searching has limits scripture doesn't pretend to erase.

The final verse turns personal: God's own Son gave His life "upon a tree" so people set free from sin could live with Him forever. Paired with the chorus's declaration that this God is "the great I Am," the song ties creation, revelation, and the cross into one continuous claim about who this God actually is.
