"That's when I hear You telling me to leave my fear behind and just let go" places the command inside the storm itself, not after it has passed.

"You call me to deeper waters" reverses the instinct to move toward safety, and "you say don't be afraid to trust where You will lead" ties courage directly to trust in a specific guide rather than general bravery. "And though I hear the thunder, You say just have faith" doesn't pretend the threatening sound isn't real — the thunder and the instruction to have faith coexist in the same breath.

"Surrounded by a sea of doubt, honestly my heart is terrified" repeats the same honest admission from the opening verse, refusing to let the chorus's confidence erase the ongoing fear. "With the promise You are always with me in this life... You will always see me to the other side" closes the song less with a guarantee that the water calms and more with an assurance about accompaniment through it.
