Incorruptible

Beckah Shae's “Incorruptible” is an upbeat pop and hip hop track about running a race with eternity in mind. The song urges, “Keep on running to the end, pick up the pace,” and promises “Keep on running while you can and win this race, first place.” The word incorruptible comes in as a short refrain, tied to the life she lives.

Her lines are about stamina and focus. “Nothing can slow me down, ’cause I ain't got no time to spare,” she sings, and “Nothing can stop me now.” A later section tells listeners to keep fighting, take their blows, and remember that “the more you give you get.” She says she is aiming for the crown because eternity is why she lives. One memorable line, “I ain't beating the air,” reflects the idea of running with purpose and not wandering. The chorus repeats that she is only in it to win it, and the ending adds that she is determined to make God proud as she finishes. The track is built for workouts and for anyone who wants a push to stay faithful, and it borrows its imagery from the apostle's picture of an athlete in training.

Running to win a crown that lasts is 1 Corinthians 9:24-25. Not beating the air is 1 Corinthians 9:26, and finishing the race is 2 Timothy 4:7.
