Amazed

Building 429 opens "Amazed" naming an age and a crisis in the same breath — "who am I, 23 and it's all a lie, I thought I knew who I was" — and "this darkness is breaking everything in me" lets the disorientation stand without softening it into a lesson learned.

"These infinite questions have shattered all the peace" admits doubt has already done real damage, and the resolve that follows isn't certainty but a decision anyway — "I won't question in the dark what is true out in the light, I will follow after You through the sun and through the night." The chorus's claim, "you've got me right where You want me," answers confusion with positioning rather than explanation.

The second verse ages the same crisis forward — "where did it go, 33 and it's gone so fast... this depression is crashing in on me, and I'm not half the man I hoped I'd be" — showing the same doubt returning in a different decade rather than being solved once. The repeated resolve line returns exactly as before, now naming "the storm" and "the fight" instead of night, and the closing verse shifts its own chorus from "where You want me" to "where I want to be," letting the small change in pronoun mark the only real difference between the crisis and its answer.
