This Place

Building 429 treats an ordinary room as sacred because of what's happened inside it in "This Place" — "this floor, these walls, oh the stories they would tell if they talked, all the crippled hearts that got up and walked, it's holy ground." The holiness is located in history, not architecture.

"Anyone that is hopeless, anyone that is broken, anyone that is lost, won't leave the same" repeats as a direct address to specific kinds of people rather than a general audience, and "everything that you lay down, He can change in this place" keeps the promise tied to something actually surrendered, not simply hoped for.

"Come as you are, come heart wide open, come weary child, Jesus is calling" closes the song by naming who is actually issuing the invitation, borrowing Jesus' own words to the weary directly rather than paraphrasing a general welcome.
