Ancient of Days

CalledOut Music's "Ancient of Days" draws its title and its central image from the same vision in Daniel where thrones are set and one figure, ancient and enthroned, is given a kingdom that will never pass away — the song's repeated line "your kingdom shall not pass away" is almost a direct quotation of that promise. Rather than dwelling on the vision's imagery, the song moves quickly to its intended response: every tongue declaring, every knee bowing, blessing and honor and glory given from every nation. That universal scope — "from every nation, all of creation" — sets the song apart from more personal, first-person worship pieces; it's written as a corporate declaration rather than an individual prayer, closer in shape to a proclamation than a confession. The closing insistence that God's glory is being "revealed in our days" ties the ancient title to the present moment, arguing that the same eternal reign described in Daniel's vision is still active and visible now, not only in the past or in some future return.
