Holy Roar

Christy Nockels and Passion build this one around a sound that grows louder across the song's own structure — starting with a whisper ('rivers of renewal, spirit whisper a revival') and ending with a roar, the volume itself tracking the song's content rather than staying decorative. 'Your kindness leading to repentance' echoes Romans 2:4's claim that 'the goodness of God leads you to repentance,' naming gentleness rather than fear as what's actually producing the response being described.

'It's the song of the redeemed, the pursuit of passion for the One who set us free' reaches for Revelation 5:9's 'new song' sung specifically by those 'bought... with your blood' — a song only available to people who've actually been rescued, not a generic anthem anyone could sing. 'Open hearts with hopes of unity, servants to love in lost humanity' widens the song's scope in its second verse from personal worship into corporate mission, so the roar being described isn't only praise directed upward, it's also meant to turn outward.
