Gravity

Deitrick Haddon builds "Gravity" around a literal image of being stuck between worlds — "tryna make it to heaven, stuck on the moon, how beautiful earth is from this point of view" — using physical distance from earth to frame spiritual longing rather than describing that longing directly.

"So much evil back on the ground, gravity keeps on bringing me down" turns a scientific force into a metaphor for whatever repeatedly pulls attention and desire back toward the world's brokenness. "So much hatred, famine and wars, I don't want to go back anymore" names specific categories of harm rather than evil in the abstract.

"Church, why can't we be more like the moon that glows" redirects the song's cosmic imagery into a direct challenge to fellow believers, comparing borrowed, reflected light favorably to whatever dims a congregation's witness. "I want to worship, really, but it's too much gravity" admits honestly that the pull toward the ordinary and the worldly competes directly with worship, not that worship itself is the difficulty.
