Incomplete

Deitrick Haddon leads "Incomplete" with a musical image before a spiritual one — "have you ever heard a symphony, you feel the music racing through your veins, but imagine it without the strings, what would it be, incomplete" — using a missing instrument to make an abstract claim concrete.

"Imagine the perfect melody, the one that sweeps you off your feet, now imagine it without the beat" repeats the same structure with a different missing piece, and "that was me" turns both musical examples into self-description rather than illustration alone.

"Can you imagine life without death, or picture right without left, sand and bones without breath" widens the same logic to entire categories that only make sense in pairs, and "if he never sent his son to save us, what if he never forgave us" applies the identical structure to the gospel itself, naming what would be missing without it. "Broken down I came to you, you took my heart and made it new, broke the chains that bonded me, gave me life and now I am complete" answers every earlier example of absence with one claim of presence, and the closing repetition, "we're incomplete without you," turns the song's whole musical metaphor into a direct, simple confession.
