Do You Believe In Love?

Erica Campbell turns a question into the hook: “Do you believe in love / And the power that it gives?” The answer comes straight back as a vow to God, “Lord, I love you for life / 'Cause your love is why I live.” The second verse admits “I don't deserve it” and credits the sending of his Son as “the only reason I'm living,” with her soul singing “Hallelujah.”

The bridge turns into call-and-response, a long run of “love, love, love” answered by a rescue story: “when I was sinking... when I was drowning... you reached out your love.” It then lists what that love did, step by step: “Found me, then it saved me / And it run me / And it healed me / Then it filled me.” The song ends on the plain claim, “There's no love better than your love.”

Its logic matches 1 John 4:19, “We love because he first loved us,” and Romans 5:8, where Christ dies for people while they are still sinners. The sinking-and-drowning image recalls Psalm 40:2, where God lifts the psalmist from the slimy pit.
