Satisfied

Folabi Nuel's “Satisfied” is a worship song about longing for God. It starts with a surprising statement, “I will never be, never be satisfied,” and then explains what it means: “So here I am, fill me up with Your presence.” The singer says, “I'm desperate for more,” and repeats it until it becomes “more and more and more of You, Lord.” The dissatisfaction is aimed at anything less than God himself.

The second half turns the longing into a request using the image of a cup. “Fill my cup, Lord, I lift it up, Lord, come and quench the thirsting of my soul.” The last line calls on Jesus by name as provider, “Bread of heaven, fill me till I want no more,” and asks him to “make me whole.” The text is brief and mostly repeated, so it works as a prayer sung again and again, with the congregation asking together to be filled.
