Crazy Love

Hawk Nelson's "Crazy Love" gives voice to a community that knows it looks foolish to outsiders and has decided not to care. The opening lines sketch a people who believe in what they cannot see, treat their present life as an "in between" stop rather than the destination, and wage their battles on their knees. The chorus leans into the world's verdict — insane, ridiculous — and answers it not with argument but with testimony: something changed them, and that something is the crazy love at the center of the song. The second verse turns that love into action, describing a deliberate reversal of the usual order, a life that dies to itself in order to serve, and a willingness to give everything away. A brief bridge names the mechanism plainly: what is received is not deserved, and salvation comes by grace. The repetition of the title at the close leaves the listener with the phrase ringing rather than with a tidy resolution, which suits a song built around a love that refuses to make sense on the world's terms.
