Song Meaning
"Chosen As Mine" is written entirely in God's own voice addressing the listener directly — "Here I am so close to you... I have loved you since before the sands of time were made." That line draws straight from Jeremiah 1:5 and Ephesians 1:4, where God's love for His people predates creation itself rather than being earned in the moment. The most striking line comes in the bridge: "you were on My mind as I died" — a direct echo of Romans 5:8, that Christ went to the cross already thinking of the person He was dying for. Paired with "cries in the desert... tears in the valley... I count them" (Psalm 56:8, God keeping account of every tear), the song reframes being "chosen" not as a reward for good behavior but as a love that existed before the listener did anything to deserve it.

Here I am so close to you
Know my voice, I'll never leave you
For I have loved you since before the sands of time were made
I love you still and always will.
You're chosen as Mine
My Father wants to bless you now,
Receive from Him all that you'll ever need.
Come spend eternity with Me. My heart's full of love for you.
I love you still and always will.
You're chosen as Mine.
Cries in the desert, My child, I hear them.
Tears in the valley, My lovely, I count them.
You're so precious; you were on My mind as I died.
I love you still, always will.
Chosen as Mine.
