"Your eye is on the sparrow, and Your hand, it comforts me" opens Hillsong United's "I Will Run To You" by pairing the smallest possible creature with the most personal possible comfort, the same move Jesus makes in Matthew's gospel when arguing from sparrows to people. "From the ends of the earth to the depth of my heart" keeps that same scale running through the whole first section — cosmic distance and interior feeling addressed by the same mercy.

"You call me to Your purpose, as angels understand" reframes calling as something already fully understood in heaven, even when it isn't yet clear on earth. The chorus's central phrase, "not by might, not by power, but by the Spirit of God," lifts Zechariah's language directly, turning the whole song's energy away from self-generated effort and onto a specific alternative source.

"Yes I will run the race, till I see Your face" borrows Hebrews' race imagery but keeps the goal concrete and relational rather than abstract — not victory in general, but a face. The short, uncluttered structure of the song mirrors its own argument: running toward something specific doesn't require an elaborate route, just direction.
