Kingdom Come

A short verse gives three facts about what God has done. "Your love reaches out to me, Your grace has made a way to You, Your word lives inside of me, Your truth is life to all who hear." The words in the second line show the way to God is opened by grace, and the third matches Colossians 3:16 about the word dwelling within.

The prayer part is the line from the Lord's Prayer, "may Your kingdom come and Your will be done," from Matthew 6:10. The singers add a practical reason, "as we serve Your heart," and ask "let salvation flow as your people pray, Lord, we long for more."

The bridge turns to victory and calling. "In You death is overcome, no power can stand against Your name" is close to 1 Corinthians 15:57. "In faith we will rise to be Your hands and feet to all the earth, life to all the earth" echoes 1 Corinthians 12:27 on being the body of Christ. The lyric is short, at about 554 characters, with three verses and no repeated chorus.
