Song Meaning
Kristian Stanfill builds "Lord Almighty" on a question lifted straight from Psalm 121: "I look to the hills, where does my help come from?" The answer lands immediately, "From You, You alone," and the verse closes by naming the one reaching down: "You are my Savior." Rescue has a single source here, and the song does not hedge about it.
The chorus pairs two claims. God's name has "power to save," and nothing compares to a love that has "given it all." Verse two shifts from declaration to response, with the singer coming to the cross, finding "all I need," surrendering the heart, and asking Jesus to draw near.
A short bridge makes the confession personal, calling God "the one I live for" and "the light that shines in us." The chorus then returns twice more before the closing line, "You've given it all." Romans 1:16 describes the gospel as God's power for salvation, which is the same note the chorus keeps striking.

[Verse 1]
I look to the hills, where does my help come from?
From You, You alone, you're reaching out for me
You are my Savior
[Chorus]
You are the Lord Almighty, none can stand against Your name
Lord, Your name has the power to save, power to save
You are the Lord Almighty, there is nothing like Your love
Lord, Your love, You have given it all, given it all
[Verse 2]
I come to the cross, there I find all I need
Surrender my heart, Jesus, draw near to me
You are my Savior

You are the Lord Almighty, none can stand against Your name
Lord, Your name has the power to save, power to save
You are the Lord Almighty, there is nothing like Your love
Lord, Your love, You have given it all, given it all
[Bridge]
You are the one I live for, You are the one that saves
You are the light that shines in us
You are the one I live for, You are the one that saves
You are the light that shines

You are the Lord Almighty, none can stand against Your name
Lord, Your name has the power to save, power to save
You are the Lord Almighty, there is nothing like Your love
