Press On (CB Ultra Run Remix)

A stubborn promise drives this remix of Mandisa's "Press On": "I'm gonna press on" is repeated until the hook sounds like a cheer. The verses admit what makes pressing on hard. "When I'm alone, when I'm afraid, when I have had all I can take, losing my grip, I start to slip away," and "the voice of doubt inside my head, screaming loud" is part of it. The request that follows is "strengthen my faith and help me say, today, today."

The chorus gives the plan: "I will follow, I will press on, even when the walk feels long. Your hands hold me together, Your love is with me forever." Running imagery, "run hard till the race is done," matches Hebrews 12:1, and the title echoes Philippians 3:14's pressing toward the goal.

Looking back, the second verse asks, "how many storms have I been through? How many led me right to You?" and says God is "using the pain, the hardest days, for my good," close to Romans 8:28. "So what do I fear? God, You are with me, guiding my steps today through the mountains, valleys, sun and rain" echoes Psalm 23:4. The final lines, "one step in front of the other, no looking back," finish the song.
