Worth It All

Reaching out "for more" is the posture of the first lines, with Jesus named as "the promise never failing" and "my reward." The chorus then states the trade plainly: "I let go of all I have just to have all of You." No cost is negotiated, "no matter what the cost I will follow You," and the loss is reframed in the same sentence as gain, "everything I've lost I have found in You."

The verse between sets that against the alternatives. "There's no riches or earthly treasure that will satisfy," and the prayer is for a heart set on fire. The conviction also arrives as a future confession: "When I finally reach the end I'll say, You are worth it all."

Past the second chorus the scene moves to heaven. "Every knee is bowed," "all the saints cry holy holy," and angels sing "worthy worthy." That echoes Revelation 5:12, while the willingness to count things as loss mirrors Philippians 3:8 and the confession in Psalm 73:25 that nothing on earth is desired besides God. The repeated closing line keeps the whole argument in one phrase.
