Mosaic MSC borrows the language of command rather than request throughout this one — peace is told to come, the sea is told to still, bones are told to live, all addressed the way Jesus addresses a storm in the gospels rather than the way a person prays for relief. That grammatical choice is the song's whole strategy: fear and chaos are treated as things that respond to authority, not conditions to be endured until they pass on their own. The verse about bones called to live and lungs called to sing pulls from the valley-of-dry-bones imagery without spelling it out, using resurrection language to describe something closer to renewed capacity to praise than literal death.
