Petra moves through three distinct worship songs here, and the thread connecting them is a deliberate ruling-out of self-sufficiency before any praise is offered — 'only by grace can we enter... not by our human endeavor, but by the blood of the Lamb' states the terms of entry before the medley moves on to actually worshiping. Ephesians 2:8's claim that salvation comes 'by grace... not of yourselves' sits directly behind that opening insistence.

'To Him who sits on the throne, and unto the Lamb, be blessing and honor, and glory and power forever' lifts Revelation 5:13's declaration from every created thing in heaven and earth almost word for word, scaling the medley's praise up from one congregation to the entire created order. The final section, 'You are Holy... You are worthy... You are faithful,' keeps each declaration short and unadorned — no argument being made, just three attributes named directly, one after another, as if a longer explanation would only slow down what's actually being said.
