Endure

Plumb keeps the waiting literal in "Endure" rather than turning it into a metaphor right away — "I'll endure the rain, I will wait an hour more, not sure if I'll see anything, can I wait here anymore?" The uncertainty is left standing; the song doesn't promise the waiting will pay off, only that it's still happening.

"Questions drip from my umbrella, shadows hang over me" keeps the rain doing double duty as both weather and difficulty without over-explaining the metaphor. "I know the sky will break and bleed its light and kiss my face with mercy" states the hoped-for outcome as a certainty even while the very next line asks "can I wait here any longer" — belief and doubt held together rather than one replacing the other.

"Teardrops vanish in a moment, rainbows hang over me, darkness, fading" repeats the same hopeful image a second time, but the song still ends on the open question rather than the rainbow — enduring, in this song, means staying in the not-yet.
