The Moment

Tasha Cobbs Leonard frames this whole song around a small window of opportunity: "reach out and touch the Lord as He goes by... He is passing by this moment, your needs He'll supply." It's the language of Luke 8, where a woman in a crowd doesn't get an appointment with Jesus — she gets a moment, and reaches for it before it passes.

Luke 8:44 records exactly that: she "came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment," and the bleeding stopped immediately. The song borrows that same urgency without narrating the story directly — "don't miss this moment, you've been waiting for a long time" — treating the listener's own situation as another version of that same brief window.

The repeated line "out of everyone calling His name, He still makes time for you" answers a fear the song never states outright but clearly assumes: that with so many people needing God's attention, an individual request might get lost. Hebrews 4:16 answers that same worry directly, inviting believers to "draw near to the throne of grace with confidence" precisely because access was never the limited resource this song's fear assumes it is.
