The Acappella Company sets Psalm 51:10 to music with barely a word changed: "create in me a clean heart, oh God... shelter me in the shadow of your wings." David's own prayer after his affair with Bathsheba supplies the entire opening of the song, need for cleansing stated plainly rather than softened.
"If we die to ourselves and live through your death, then we shall be born again to be blessed in your love" compresses Romans 6:8's logic into a single sentence — "if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him." The short length of the whole song works in its favor here; there's no extended bridge or repeated chorus, just one request followed immediately by the theological reasoning behind it.
Create in me a clean heart oh God
Let me be like you in all my ways
Give me your strength, teach me your song
Shelter me in the shadow of your wings
For we are your righteousness
If we die to ourselves and live through your death
Then we shall be born again to be blessed in your love!
