God Is Coming

Anticipation builds from a quiet surrender. The first verse begins with "all I have is in Your hands," then says the singer's heart has been won, "so I will wait for You." Fire, something new, and the old gone mark the change before the song swings outward: "We can hear the heavens roar. Hold on, get ready, for the glory of the Lord."

The chorus flips the usual picture of seeking. God is the one "running to find me," named "King of the universe" and "the God who saves," coming "to light up the darkness." That image lines up with Luke 19:10, where the Son of Man comes to seek and save the lost.

The second verse widens from one person to a "world that's torn apart." The request is for "courage" and "heart," with the conviction that "only You can raise the dead to life" and "make it right." Ephesians 2:4-5 describes that same raising of the dead, and Psalm 96:13 looks ahead to the Lord coming to judge the earth. The short bridge, "Great is the Lord," lands on plain praise before the final chorus returns.
