My Domain

Tommee Profitt's "My Domain" opens with a wounding image — a heel struck and bruised, a side that bleeds — before the narrator swallows the pain and declares themselves indestructible. The chorus turns that injury into territory: "This is my domain," a kingdom with walls that no one can tear down, where an adversary is now standing on ground that isn't theirs. The second verse makes the claim stranger and more interesting, insisting the scars themselves are the building material — the body torn apart becomes the shape it takes, and the hell endured is what raised the singer up. It's a defiant, almost cinematic piece of survival music, closer to a battle cry than a testimony, with the repeated "I-I-I" chant hammering the point home. The closing lines — live or die, my way, inside the walls — leave the listener with a fortress built out of damage rather than delivered from it, which is a harder and more ambivalent note than most worship-adjacent songs are willing to strike.
