Already Won

Victory comes before the fight in this track from Unspoken. It starts with voices of doubt, "haters out there hatin'" who say "no you ain't gonna make it," and answers them with a party image: "roll out the red carpet," a "round of applause," and a song already playing in your honor. The pivot line sets the posture, "it's about time to start living like" someone who has already won.

The chorus gets specific about that confidence. "There's no mountain high enough that you can't move / no valley low enough to hold you down," it says, and the listener is called a "fighter" with a fire inside. The second verse roots it in identity: "you're a child of the Most High / royalty in your bloodline," and a champion is someone who gets back up after being counted out.

The bridge slows down and speaks in plainly biblical terms. "You don't have to work so hard," it says, then lists who the hearer is: "chosen, forgiven," "a citizen," "seated in heavenly places," "filled with the Spirit," and "a new creation." Ephesians 2:6 supplies the seating, Galatians 3:26 the sonship, 2 Corinthians 5:17 the new creation, and Romans 8:37 the claim that believers are more than conquerors.
