Heart To Heart (Higher)

Ada Ehi builds this worship song around a single, repeated longing: a heart that delights and a spirit that yearns, asking to be drawn further into God's light and shown His way. The chorus turns that desire into a two-directional prayer — higher and deeper — with a striking image at its center: wanting the Father's own heartbeat to become the singer's pulse, until the two arrive at a place of heart-to-heart closeness. The second verse shifts from longing to dependence, calling God the air she breathes and His word food, grounding existence and satisfaction entirely in Him, and dismissing every rival with the plain line that no one else can satisfy. Toward the end the song strips down to a bare, insistent cry — I want to know your heart, I want to know your way — repeated like a vow rather than a request. The wordless oh-oh refrains that open and close the track give it a loose, congregational feel, as if the melody itself is breathing. What holds the whole thing together is intimacy pursued as a discipline: not a distant admiration of God but a steady walking higher and deeper until the heart of the Father becomes the heartbeat of the believer.
