Song Meaning

Ada Ehi builds the entire verse around a single instruction, repeated rather than developed: "all I have to do is fix my eyes on you." The phrase reaches for Hebrews 12:2's instruction to run the race of faith "looking to Jesus, the author and perfector of faith" — attention itself treated as the discipline, not a passive feeling.

"I can walk on water, as I fix my eyes on you" names Matthew 14:29's account of Peter directly — the disciple who stayed above the waves only as long as his focus held, sinking the moment it shifted to the storm instead. "For the one who walks with the Lord never walks alone" keeps the bridge from treating faith as a solitary achievement; the confidence described depends entirely on who's actually doing the walking alongside.

Verse
You perfect it all
You perfect it all
You make all things new
Like only you can
You perfect it all
You perfect it all
All I have to do
Is fix my eyes on you
You you you
You you you
Aha Lord I fix my eyes on you
I fix my eyes on you
You you you
You you you
I fix my eyes on you

Bridge
For the one who walks with the Lord
Never walk alone
And those who call on Jesus
Never cry for help
For the one who walks with the Lord
Never walk alone
And those who call on Jesus
Never cry for help

You perfect it all
You perfect it all
You make all things new
Like only you can
I have no fear... I have no fear
I have no doubt
You are able

You perfect it all
You perfect it all
You make all things new
like only you can
You perfect it all
You perfect it all
All I have to do
Is to fix my eyes on you
You you you... I can walk on water
You you you... As I fix my eyes on you
