Brandon Lake's "Praise You Anywhere" lists specific hard circumstances rather than praising in general terms — darkness, fire, a lion's den, a prison cell — and pairs each one with a biblical figure who did exactly that. "Shout it till the doors swing wide" points at Paul and Silas singing hymns in a jail cell at midnight, right before an earthquake broke the chains and the doors open on their own, which is the pattern the whole song is built on: praise offered before the rescue shows up, not as a reaction once it does.
