White As Snow

Two color phrases open the song and define its love: "a white as snow kinda love" and "Redemption red kinda grace." They bring together Isaiah 1:18, where sins like scarlet become white as snow, and the cross, and the next line puts a face on both: the "Love of a Father, kind, kind Jesus / Calling out my name." The word "kind" is doubled, so tenderness is the point.

Reassurance follows, "do not be afraid / Don't give your song away," along with a promise that "Weeping lasts a moment but / Joy is here to stay," which lines up with Psalm 30:5. The reflective stanza turns to the singer's response: eyes lifted to the Heavens, breathing in what God promises, and letting "all the pain fall off my shoulders."

The chorus is built from a single image, "It's gonna rain joy," that keeps soaking inward, seeping through skin, into bones, and down to the soul. The song closes with the singer standing in the downpour rather than sheltering from it.
