Ghost

Chris August spends the first verse describing invisibility: "taking up space like the living do... slip through the cracks without even knowing." The hook turns on a single discovery: "how'd you even find me? When no one ever noticed before." Whoever he's singing to saw him when nobody else did.

The bridge makes the transformation explicit rather than vague: "I was haunted, now I'm human... all it took was you believing." What changes isn't his circumstances but his sense of being known — "guess I'm not a ghost anymore" repeats as the song's resolution, not its setup.

That arc from unseen to alive again tracks Luke 15:24's description of a lost son "found" and "dead, and is alive again," and 2 Corinthians 5:17's "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation." The one incidental line "God only knows how I caught your eye" is the song's only direct naming of who's actually doing the finding.
