Good Grace

The first verse opens on a wide lens — "people, come together, strange as neighbors, our blood is one... children of every nation, of Kingdom come" — before narrowing to a single reassurance: "don't let your heart be troubled... God is madly in love with you."

The second verse names exactly who's behind that reassurance: "Jesus, our redemption, our salvation, is in His blood... Jesus, light of heaven, friend forever, His Kingdom come." The song moves from a crowd scene to a direct confession of what that blood accomplished, then widens back out — "swing wide all You heavens... all creation, everything with breath, repeat the sound."

"Don't let your heart be troubled" is John 14:1 almost word for word, and "our redemption... is in His blood" echoes Ephesians 1:7's "in whom we have our redemption through his blood." The title phrase itself closes the loop: "good grace, good God, His name is Jesus."
