My Faith has Found A Resting Place

Fountainview Academy sings a hymn about a faith that rests on something firmer than human argument. The opening verse rejects a "man made creed" and trusts the Ever-living One who pleads on the believer's behalf, setting the tone for a hymn that keeps returning to what is enough.

That sufficiency is the refrain: "I need no other evidence, I need no other plea; it is enough that Jesus died, and rose again for me." The second verse leans on John 6:37 with its line "He will not cast me out," and the refrain itself summarizes the gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. Another stanza rests the soul on "the living Word of God" and names salvation through His blood.

The closing lines move to the great physician who heals the sick and seeks the lost, then to the familiar image of standing on Christ the solid Rock while "all other ground is sinking sand," which echoes Matthew 7:24-25. This version's final stanza changes the refrain to "I need no other argument," ending on the plain confidence that He died for me.
