A La La Le

Built around a simple, singable refrain, this song turns a nonsense phrase into a communal prayer. The opening verses picture people singing, dancing, and loving as if heaven were something available right now rather than a distant destination, and the line about breath becoming a creed frames ordinary life as an act of worship. From there the song widens into a litany of alleluias that locate praise in unexpected places: the smell of rain, the quiet of desert plains, the blood moving through our bodies, and even our pain. Another verse ties that praise to freedom for captives and sight for the blind, then lands on the strange beauty of unity that still honors each person's uniqueness. The bridge pushes the congregation outward and upward, urging praise a little higher and love a little wider while insisting that this moment is all we have. The repeated syllables function almost like a heartbeat, holding the whole thing together and inviting anyone listening to join in without needing the right words.
