Brother Moon

Gungor turns the natural world into a chorus of witnesses, addressing the moon, sun, wind, and earth as family members who carry God's light and breath to us. The moon is asked to shine down and reveal divine love; the sun's face reflects the light of God; the wind breathes God's own breath in its lungs; the earth provides with an open hand. These images build toward a central confession drawn from Paul's speech in Acts: in God we live and move and have our being. The song's repeated line about being held together all together echoes Colossians, where all things hold together in Christ.
