Ask Seek Knock

Hillsong Kids spell out two names letter by letter — "B-I-B-L-E" and "J-E-S-U-S" — before landing on Matthew 7:7's promise as the song's chorus: "when you ask He cares, when you seek He's there, when you knock, God opens up the door." The triple structure of Jesus's original teaching survives intact even at a children's-song pace.

"It tells me that I'm never ever alone" reaches for Psalm 34:15's assurance that "the eyes of Yahweh are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry" — attentiveness framed as constant rather than occasional. "Our God knows exactly what I need" keeps the song's theology simple without making it inaccurate; a claim built for a young audience doesn't have to be a diluted one.
