Everyday

Jonathan Nelson builds this song around a single, repeating promise: blessing and praising God every day. The opening lines lock into that vow, and the lyric returns to it again and again, turning the title into a refrain the listener can carry through the week. The most vivid moment comes when the singer describes waking up, with the first thought of the morning being gratitude for "one more time" — a plain, human way of counting each new day as a gift rather than an assumption. From there the song widens out: the singer acknowledges how good the Lord has been and commits to giving praise and glory while life lasts, echoing the psalmist's resolve to praise God as long as he has breath. The repeated "everyday, everyday, everyday" chant near the end strips the message down to its simplest form, making the song less a performance piece and more a declaration the congregation can join without rehearsal. There is no complicated theology here, just steady, deliberate thanksgiving that refuses to be reserved for Sunday. The closing repetitions leave the listener with the sense that praise is meant to be a daily habit, not an occasional event.
