Jonathan Nelson turns a single conviction into a full congregation-wide declaration: the word of the Lord is forever settled. The song opens like a testimony service, with the leader urging listeners to grab hold of a personal promise and repeat it back — "tell somebody" becomes both instruction and invitation. From there it builds into call-and-response, the choir answering every line about God's plan and design, the word that never changes, and the firm confirmation that God will not cancel what He has spoken. A striking image arrives midway: whatever God spoke in heaven will stand eternally, and the singer believes the fulfillment is close enough that eyes will soon see it.
