Tengo Paz En Mi Ser

Kari Jobe's Spanish-language track opens with a peace that doesn't depend on circumstance: "de paz inundada mi senda este, o cubra la mar de aflicción" (my path flooded with peace, whether the sea of affliction covers it or not). Whatever happens, the peace is already stated as fact.

"Clavó mi pecar en la cruz, lo olvido" (He nailed my sin to the cross, forgot it) states plainly what the cross accomplished, and the repeated "gloria a Dios" after nearly every line turns the whole song into a running response rather than a single declaration made once.

"Tengo paz en mi ser" (I have peace in my being) names the specific gift — not circumstances resolved, but peace settled somewhere deeper than circumstance, the same peace Paul says surpasses understanding. The final verse looks ahead to Christ's return "con su gran majestad" (with His great majesty), giving the song's steady peace a forward-looking edge instead of leaving it only in the past.
